Ok so nag lan is coming and I forgot to buy on release date soo.. If someone has tickets and doesn't want to go anymore I will buy it at full price! Pls

I don't see a problem with selling on tickets you aren't going to use, at the original price. The problem comes in when people start reselling tickets to make profit. Morally reprehensible? Probably. Illegal? I'm not sure, but I doubt men in black are going to waylay you one night as you return home.

got this from the rage forum :

"No ticket resales are permitted, here or anywhere else. If you're looking for a ticket, send an email to lauren at nag dot co dot za with your name, number of tickets you need and a contact number. Please don't call our offices, and please don't overload us with sob stories. We need to field a large number of requests and the more to-the-point they are, the quicker we can get through them. The waiting list will operate purely on first-come, first-served basis.

You may not post requests for tickets here. All such posts will be deleted. Repeated requests will likely see you banned from the forums. We'll be in contact with the admins of other forums to prevent this from happening elsewhere.

You may not attempt to sell your tickets here or anywhere else.

If you have extra tickets that you'd like to get rid of, please contact Lauren at the above address, and we'll gladly buy them off you for the original price. We will then redistribute the extra tickets to those people on the waiting list.

If you see people posting ticket sales anywhere else, please email Lauren or PM me.

This is the only way that ticket resales can work. Do not buy tickets for inflated prices. Anyone who has extra tickets for sale already is just a ticket scalper. These people ruin the LAN for everyone in the attempt to make a quick buck. If you support them this year, then next year they'll just do it again, which means fewer tickets for legitimate buyers and more of this same chaos every time. "

Hahaha, while reading that quote I wasn't even thinking about tickets, I was wondering if that's the same Lauren from NAG that I met at rage 5 years ago...

Yep, as the NAG statement says, I would also highly suggest nobody buy from ticket scalpers. If a scalper sells two tickets at an inflated price this year, he's going to buy five to resell next year.

The problem is that people looking to buy tickets are taken advantage of by unscrupulous assholes who buy up in bulk every year and then sell them off at hugely inflated prices.

And some of these unscrupulous assholes that Azimuth mentioned are teenagers who buy tickets in bulk with daddy's credit card, think they can make a quick buck by selling them but instead they fail horribly and you end up with a percentage of tickets that are unused due to this idiocy.
