So anybody bought the nag last month?

If you did is it still in tact?
I hate staples in this type of paper magazines they always seems to fall apart.
and yes I know why they did it but still its no fun if the thing falls apart.

seriously who buys the nag? there is plenty of decent on line reads and reviews for fraction of price.

The guys who don't have the internet plus you get 8gig worth of stuff not always useful but sometimes there are patches on it that can easily be 1,6gig. And so on and on.

and we all need 1.6 gigs of patches each month, right ;)

...if you have enough money to get pissed at least once a month then you could also have some form of internet. not to mention you might know at least some one who wouldn't mind helping you out with patches/demos.

seriously one could easily manage in the days of 28.8k and still can today.

I buy the NAG every month. I should really just subscribe. I enjoy the magazine. The reviews are well written and well I've been reading it since the first issue appeared. I've got a cupboard here just for old NAG magazines. :)

yep it saves. well most mags i know of if you sub you get cheaper. besides then you don't have issues with some outlets who skip, open or are late at times. i used to follow something wicked, but they've gone pure digital. guess it's pdfs from now on :(

Ah cool! I've also got two Something Wicked magazines here. It wasn't stocked here by me, I bought one in Margate and one in Joburg I think. I completely forgot about Something Wicked though. So you say it's available online? Man I'm going to go look. I love those short stories. :D

The problem lies with telkom...
Well with the amount of patches coming out these day's thats a drop in the bucket.;) yes you don't really NEED it but still.

Unless you move to a new town then you don't know anybody haha.

You can't read online reviews on the toilet. Also, quibbling over R40 seems a bit absurd. It's practically pocket change.

I stopped buying it because I am to lazy lol. And for the stuff you get on the disk it is a good price.

I bought the NAG, I do so every month. Saying that online content can replace a nice paper publication is absurd. If you had a choice to live on a drip, supplying you the nutrients you need or could keep eating regular food which would you pick? Easier isn't always better. I like to read the NAG while sitting somewhere that NOT in front of my PC, like for example on the comfy couch in the TV room. Magazines have their place is my point here. And like was mentioned by Crzwaco the DVD is a godsend when, like me you are still on dial-up.

And to answer the original question, yes my NAG is still intact, but I'd like to see the spine return and the staples disappear like a bad thought.

I still get the Nag every month. sure it may be old on the news sometimes but the dvd is a good bit plus nothing beats reading a mag on the bog. plus some of oppinion pieces have me laughing quite abit

I was making the very valid point that you can sit and read a magazine anywhere. Internet, not so much.

Besides, everyone reads on the shitter. I've read Paradise Lost on the shitter - does that make it a rubbish book? No.

Work on your jokes.
