National Strike tomorrow

My school had to up the security measures and put in some protocols these last few days. Cause the union started threatening the school cause they didn't strike : /

Sounds like the good old days where we had monthly bomb-scare drills at school.

Remember those? I also remember those posters they had which had images of what different bombs looked like. How if we saw one we had to call a teacher.

Memories...flooding...back.
Yeah I remember they weren't images, they were plastic casts of the actual bombs.

The one old architect I work with still can't stand Mandela after Madiba and the commies signed off to approve the bombings in Pretoria. Apparently his brother-in-law died in one of those cafe bombings.

Dude it's wierd how back then we had no idea precisely why we were having drills and being educated on what bombs look like. Looking back it was pretty effed up.

Ons sal lewe, ons sal sterwe… Fok die ou Suid-Afrika

When you have five minutes, go read this. I think it is so true. There are so many kids out there who think those were the good ol days. Go read this to put it into a bit of perspective. Most of us here were too young then to realise what was actually happening even though we remember those bomb cut outs, or having to evac the school because a bomb threat was called in or having to check under the school bus for explosives if we went on an outing.
