Need British laptop adapter replacement. Not sure what would work

So my fiance's laptop's adapter got fried when power tripped, and I have no idea where to get her a new one (and which one really). It's a Brit adapter, and on it the specs say:

Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz
Output: 9.5VDC 2.315A

Any help appreciated!

(I hope it's the adapter anyway, and not the laptop :( )

I think you don't need an exact replacement for that one - what laptop model is it? Maybe someone else with a lappy in the same family has another power adapter that you can borrow??? I also think you can change the setting on a power adapter so that it fits our power specs. Not to sure about that though...

Hmm it's a Acer EEE PC 4G Surf. Think I'm going to have to go to a shop and show them the adapter. Hi-Fi Corp perhaps?

Any Acer laptop adapter should work. I had an Acer Aspire One with a US adapter and Acer 5732z with SA adapter and they were interchangeable. It'll still feed the same current into the laptop battery.

You could always take your laptop to either an Incredible Deception store and get them to check it with a universal adapter or an PC Shop :)

Incredible Connection, I'll go drop by there then, it's only down the road. Just hoping it's not the damn laptop

Here's a cheap universal adapter for sale on Bid or Buy. Just that I'm not sure if it will work, specs are:

Input Voltage: 100-240v.
Input current(MAX): 2A
Input Frequency: 50 ~ 60Hz
Output: 15v/16v/18v/19v/20v DC-4.5A,
22v/24V DC-4A
Output power(MAX): 96w.
Dimensions(L*W*H): 117*60*38mm
Relative Humidity: 5% ~ 95%RH (non-condensing)

Only specs on the broken one:

Input: 100-240V~50/60Hz
Output: 9.5VDC 2.315A

Nah, that proabably won't work. The output voltage and ampereage seems to be too high for your laptop. Get another Acer certified one. Or just go to Incredible Connection, they will proabably tell you what to buy and then you can just buy it online.
