Hey peeps

I see there hasn't been much of a hype with NFS Shift 2 like there was for Hot Pursuit and all that, has anyone bought the game and is it great or kak or what??:confused::wtf:

i believe it's because it's more sim like, so most folks would tend to steer clear...

It's only out on Friday here in SA. Reviews are looking positive so far, most scoring it at 85/100. I'm planning on getting it, just not this month. :)

lol... I'm a big Simulator fan, especially when it comes to cars :D.

So I think I'll steer into the open with the rest of the sim fans :p

Slightly Mad Studios' heritage would have you believe that this is a sim, as would the pre-release hype, but don't believe a word of it – this is as exaggerated a take on driving as any on the series.

Much like Shift, which I adored. No racing game gives you the sense of driving like Shift does and Shift 2 looks to improve on that. Plus there's autolog (ripped from Hot Pursuite) which will make things even more addictive.
 
I'm buying it next week. We still lan shift 1 with Mods, adding a much more sim based feel to it. Screaming around the 20KM Nordschleife taking bends at over 250KPH with your beast, with 6 other guys all over your rear bumper is a fairly tense experience.
I'm sure shift 2 is going to be even more awesome (with mods of coarse :p )

Totally. One of best gaming experiences ever - Bugatti Veyron race in Shift. Holeeeeee shit :p

I'll pick it up on Friday, if this place actually gets it.

Guys, I really tried my best to like NFS Shift, but the controls were flippen crazy? I played it with an XBOX360 controller and the turning sensitivity was insane. You either didn't turn or you had complete steering lock - nothing inbetween. Bleh?
 
Its strange neo I had the same with the 1st shift then I left it for a week went back to it played around with the settings and then it was fine.

Nfs hot pursuit is brilliant with a xbox controller. Not even clarkson could pull the drifts I got with the aston concept car.
