Hi

I took out the Telkom package last year,it's not on contract but a month to month payment.
I've been trying to contact them via the phone to cancel the service but i can NEVER get through and this is fustrating as I am paying for a sh!tty service and a low cap.

What can I do besides trying to phone these people that will get the service cancelled ASAP?

Don't pay. That usually gets their attention.

Or go into a telkom shop, But you need to check that its not a telkom mobile shop, because they wont help you with land line stuff... But if u call them from a telkom line on 10210 its a free call, they generally take about 20 to 30 mins to answer...

Iv just been through the whole process and still need to get a 900 buck credit...

I use the Telkom direct store to sort out my account problems and queries I never use the phone.

The service keeps continuing and I don't want it to.It's a crap service and I want it gone.

Best bet, like the other guys said, go to a Telkom Direct store. Take down names, reference numbers and so, because knowing Telkom, you may just need it later on. Haven't checked, but isn't it possible to cancel a service from their website?

Just need your Telephone bill and ID document if it is in your name and just show them what you want cancelled and they will phone accounts department and get it cancelled, had to cancel something for a friend the other day.

That sounds easy enough. Were they reluctant to do it?and was the process long?

They normally quite good with the cancellations, but you have to give them 1 months notice... So you will have to pay for another month at least...

Most companies seem to work that way cause of the way they bill every month.

When Telkom bill comes its half the current month and the next so you still paying for the service the next month, thats how my adsl account works.
