Need help with affordable gaming case

As the title says, I'm looking for an affordable gaming case. I'm just planning to build my existing PC into a new case because my case is old, fugly and has some broken wiring for the front panel audio etc.

I'm not looking for a Hardcore R1500+ gaming case just something that will be better quality than the average R300 stock cases that will be good value for money.
I know there are a lot of things to look for like cooling and built quality but there is such a huge jump in price from the R400 to R900 type cases and the even worse for some of the really pro ones.

I don't wanna pay that much unless the case will make me coffee and improve my skillz :-)

Can you guys please provide me some options with links preferably to online suppliers like take 2 etc.

If it matters my system are: i5 2500; 8gig RAM; 4 HDDs; Soon getting GTX560.

I was actually looking and considering that same case before i made my post. It seems nice to me so if the guys in the know can point out why it wont be a good option I'm all ears.

Thanx Dragonic

Maybe still a bit expensive, but the new Coolermaster Enforcer seems decent for it's price, about R850 or so.

Another option in that price class is the Coolermaster CM690II. You get it in a few flavours and I was surprised by the build quality and extras you get for the price. I'm currently using the CM690II Advanced. Bit more pricey, but even more extras.

Otherwise the case Dragonic said is also nicely priced for what you get.

I have the Coolermaster Elite 335, I quite like the case as it has a side window and has a nice design with the mesh in the front and all. You can a see a pic in the show your rig thread or by googling it

+1

I can actually recommend the Cooler Master Storm Enforcer as well, it's pretty much the same size as a HAF912 inside, but with an all black interior and gamers (and their buget's) in mind.

Here is a review of the chassis over at guru3d. For what you spend on your budget, I think it's almost the perfect choice, unless you don't like the looks of course :)

the raidmax tornado isnt too bad (considering its age and budget price) however fitting a long profile gfx card can be a bit problematic

Thank you for all the feedback guys. I'll look around for specials and availability. Still not 100% sure which one to go for but that Enforcer does look cool.

Thanx again.

Value for money cases which still have decent cooling - Coolermaster, and Antec are the two brands you want to be looking at!

Please do some watching of YouTube reviews on any cases you're looking at. I was about to buy the Haf912 until I watched a Newegg review/unboxing video and saw that the new gfx cards don't fit in there. As I was buying a GTX560, I would have been in a horrid pickle. Just make sure all your bits will fit with some room to spare before buying :)

PS - ended up going with the HAF922 ..... pretty damn big, lol but I'm happy

Something I was looking out for too. The HAF922 is a mid-tower case, so it's not huge and certainly not as monstrous as the HAF x. But when I was looking for cases yesterday, I made sure that the case was a Mid-tower case and not full tower. Reason being is that the full tower cases are just too damn big and heavy. I settled for the CM 690 Nvidia edition.

I have the CM 690 as well, just not the Nvidia edition. It will definitely fit an 11" card - 5870 in my case. I also installed an extra fan under the cd rom drive.
