Right, lets just get into it.

I went and bought a few games off the recent specials on Steam, but sadly, I only have 384k internet connection.

I am hoping that someone can help me here.

Anybody in our around Nelspruit area, with the following games in Steam?
I want to arrange so I can copy these from you, so I don't need to download them all the way.
  • Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • RIFT
  • Portal 2 --- sorted
Please PM me or reply directly in this thread if you are able to help me out.

I have a 2TB external HD, but we can use whatever medium you have available.
Sadly I am stuck without own transport, but can arrange to meet somewhere if organized in advance.

Thanks all!

I have Portal 2 and Fallout New Vegas with all the DLC. Things are just hectic this week, but I'll RAR it and write it for you on DVD and get it to you next week.

Thanks.
Skip Portal 2; a friend just dropped by an hour ago with his laptop - so I'm sorted for that 1.

You'll have fewer issues if you use the Steam Backup Utility.

I've done that since it will take 2 DVDs either way, although the RAR way works 100% without issues... just one of the reasons I love steam: Copy, Configure, Run
I usually use RAR (or 7z) if I can save a disk or if I backup multiple games on one disk.

Gimme a call whenever you get that moment to stop by.
You still have my number, right?

Bah, I'll pm it to you again just in case...

Read that one a bit quickly. Thought you said one should SKIP portal 2... LOL.

Can't wait to play it during the holidays...

On this note.
I installed COD MW3 and then it wanted to download another 7Gb WTF!
What's the use of buying the DVD's from a shop?
You might as well just buy the game on steam from the start and download the whole thing.
