Never Settle Bundle coming AMD R200s soon(tm)

According to a report from WCCF Tech, AMD's VP of sales has confirmed that the Never Settle bundles will be coming to the just-announced R200 series graphics cards. The report doesn't give a date as to when they will arrive, but it expects it to be soon.

The report indicates that the previous Never Settle bundles helped the sales of the Radeon HD 7000 series cards so much that "a repeat for the R200 Series is a no-brainer for AMD."

The basic system will remain the same, giving either Bronze, Silver, or Gold rewards, allowing you to choose one, two, or three games, respectively, from a list of games from which to pick per class.

Also, and this is not the first time that it's been heard, AMD might be making Battlefield 4 an option for the Never Settle bundles included with the R200 series graphics cards.

I see that the Uplay codes for Far Cry 3 in the previous Never Settle Bundles have expired. So I'm hoping that we get more news about this shortly. Free games!

In most cases its only for those who purchase after the bundle launches. Sometimes, bundles like this will give a bit of a grace period though, like if you purchased 30 days before it came out, but that's never a given... I'm not even sure AMD's history with that.
 
Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this...

R7-260X gets added to the Never Settle silver tier, which just got Thief (2014) added as an option. Anything above an R9-270 gets Battlefield 4 only. No other Never Settle games. BF4 will run amazingly with Mantle, but I would rather have Thief + another game than only Bf4 in my opinion. The promotion is not retroactive, which sucks honestly.

What happened to the time when they were giving away Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, Bioshock and so many other good games. Sigh, should have got an 7xxx series card while I still had the chance.

Why even have a golden tier? Most of the 79xx cards are out of stock. Where's the logic that a cheaper card gets an unreleased game (Thief) + another newish game but the more expensive and powerfull cards get only BF4? I really hope they change this, or at least add the option to chose between BF4 or the Never Settle bundle.

So that means i might get another BF 4 :D i see trolling coming :p or maybe i should just give it to a friend.

Is there any date on when this will be implemented yet?

Big fan of these bundles with cards makes the upgrade even better :D

Should be active as of yesterday. The local distributors might take a while to offer the BF4 / Never Settle Silver codes for the cards.

There you have your answer :) . Heard many stories of people with 270X cards averaging 40fps on ultra in multiplayer. Which is quite insane for a 3k priced card. IMO BF4 is a must have with an AMD gpu.

And that's without Mantle :D

Still, it doesn't make sense that they give Thief + another game to cheaper and less powerful cards. Give us R9 users BF4 + Thief :p

Battlefield 4 redemption for the R9-XXX series. (R9-270 -> R9-290X)

These promotions are only available at specific outlets. It'll probably take a couple of weeks for local stores to support them. They have in the past, so I assume that they will in the future. Also these offers are not retroactive, so if you bought a card before the announcement, you unfortunately won't get the free games. Which IMHO, is kind of shit. They could've included a release window or something. I feel sorry for the earlier adopters.

I concur. They should just add BF4 to the golden tier and make the golden tier available to the R9 series (270+).

That's what I thought they would do. But they obviously had other plans. Apparently another game will be coming to the Never Settle promotion soon. Many people are speculating that it'll be Watch Dogs. If that's the case, then I'll be super pissed.

The lead technical developer for AC4 said in a recent interview that Ubisoft are also looking into Mantle support for their games, a BF4 + Watch Dogs combo would sell so many units for AMD. Thief will launch with Mantle support, Square Enix (along with the Star Citizen devs) said yesterday during APU13 that they're also working on integrating Mantle into their future games.

I'm an early adopter and this just peeves me there should be some sort of stipulation made for people that bought the cards before this was announced, like say register your card and get a code or something

You could try and email the store that you bought the card from. They might be able to help you.
