Anyone getting the New 3ds which comes out in 9 days, I am looking forward to getting the White new 3ds with the faceplates for Ruby and Sapphire.
 
Been looking at it and am VERY tempted... will wait and see what pricing is going to be. I nearly bought one last year at Rage, I honestly think the only thing that stopped me was the queue at the till.

So far its R2500 for New 3ds and R3000 for New 3ds xl and LE ones are R3500.

The double CPU speed, C Stick and ram will be a nice upgrade from the old ones :).
 
Hmmmm think i need to go through the game line up again and make a decision. Who needs food anyway, bread and water is ok. Just so long as I have coffee then all is well in the world!
 
I've always had a secret fascination with the 3DS, ever since we bought our niece one for her birthday years ago. Some of the games seem genuinely fun with truckloads of charm.

Quite a lot of nice games on the 3ds now, wasn't much at the start.

So much for the good streak I have been having for the last 2 years.
 
So I decided to pull the trigger and get the New 3DS. Had some vouchers so my damage was around R2300.
Just need to get a cheap charger now.

Cool they are about R150+ for the charger unless you looking for a generic one

If you have an old 3ds or DSi the charger will work

It's more than that, the new processor will eventually be a requirement for games. But yeah the improved 3d would also be nice. I've got the 3d one level higher than the off notch atm.

Somehow I don't think devs will make use of the extra processing power. They're not going to cut the people who bought previous consoles out of their potential profits.

At the moment there is only Xenoblade and judging from the DSi I don't think there will be many games.

If they do they will make it exclusive, but don't see the main series games doing it like Pokemon as they will lose sales.

I'm sure that it will happen over time, games will start to come out which only support the "new 3ds"

It's possible but that's like games being released only for the slim PS3. You're basically punishing the consumer that bought your console at launch.
