I believe it's actually a different console, Nintendo just can't get their naming right. Think of it like an iPad1 and an iPad2, eventually the iPad1's support wanes.

As Ichigo said, Xenoblade Chronicles will be the first game that is not supported by the older consoles. I feel a bit miff about that. I really want to play that game, but I have to get a new console to play it.

Yep all shops should still sell them as they did when I got my 3ds xl as my DS lite charger didn't fit.

If you got a Wii/Wii U you can still play Xenoblade on there although it won't be the newest one.

Ja...but it isn't the same. Also Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii is pretty expensive for some reason.
 
Xenoblade is one of the reasons I decided to get the New 3DS. I've always wanted to play it.

It will be interesting to see what other games Nintendo releases exclusively for the New 3DS.

Will you buy Physical or Digital usually the digital drops not sure about physical Zelda games?

I heard Majora's Mask is quite good it is also my first Zelda game :)
