New Call of Duty to feature digital content platform monetisation scheme

Apparently cross-platform online play is a serious possibility for Beachhead.

Never gonna happen. They might allow cross console online play, but the second you throw in PC gamers the console guys will have a disadvantage.

According to sources at Eurogamer, the next Call of Duty game is codenamed Project Collossus and will hit shelves on 8 November.

Hopefully it'll be set in the MW era...... I really mis my Javelin launcher.........

Hey! Bobby!

,,i,

But on a serious note, a new game in a year? Lol...epic fail. Won't even be looking at getting it. This is not going to be anything new, plus it will probably suck even more than the last game.

Busy riding the waves of their success, I see. They've beaten down competition every other year, so now, from their perspective, it will naturally happen again.

Sadly, their little pointless monetisation scheme is a waste. Why do I need unique armor and weapons. No matter how much I've ever built up a profile, I've never felt the same attachment as I do, say, to an MMO character. And which bar to they want to exceed?

Sales? Valid maybe, if only because Blops sold so well, and only because of what I mentioned in my opening paragraph.

If it's actual gameplay - going by anecdotal evidence, the bar's lying on the ground, and won't need much to surpass it.

Dude, the PC guys will also have a advantage ! faster reactions, bigger hitboxes!

Well I guess they just going to have to make he auto aim on consoles react faster.

Lol @ Paparazzi post yeah you read it again what toxic said.

I can see it now: custom/novelty decals for guns? $5 please. Different camo gear? $5 please. A handful of new rehashed maps from previous CoD titles (one with a zombie in it)? $15 please.
I blame stupid people for this mess. The only reason they are charging for this k@k is because they've discovered that there are enough stupid people to make it worthwhile.

yeesh... if skyrambo goes up against console boys... SLAUGHTER!

Hmm, I really wonder how multi-platform multiplayer will be like.

You know dude, people always say that "Yeah, I'm better with a controller than a mouse and keyboard." I'm sorry, but I really find that very hard to believe. I'd like to see that first before I believe it.

It's like putting racers in a ring where some have steering wheels and some drive cars with a go-kart-like rope steering system.

Oh, and if they have to equal the hitbox mechanics across all platforms- that makes me want to play it even less. I don't want to shoot 2m past someones head only to get a headshot. Fsck that. Super lame.

I'd pwn Tooks with a controller any day :D:p!!

On-topic: I knew this was gonna happen sooner or later. I will only be buying this CoD if it a continuation of the MW story, if it isn't then stuff Bobby! I'm not gonna pay for the game, DLC AND to play online!

Now look at BFBC2, Dice (IMO) have the best MP I have ever played and it is so much more real. Do you see Dice wanting to charge for it? Look at how much they charge us for DLC!! You pay R100 for Vietnam which has new maps, weapons... Now look at CoDthey charge us R125 for 4 rehashed maps! Nope I'm sorry, Dice is the better company and I would support them any day of the week rather than Bobby!

It's sad because I've played CoD since it's inception and have loved every installment to date (Except for Blops) and now to see it go downhill because one guy wants to use $100 bills to wipe his arse :(!
