New Computer Build

Sorry guys, didn't think to report back

Built the computer and it works brilliantly. So far all games I've thrown at it run at a solid 60fps with full settings at 1920x1080 and 3D rendering is super fast. The Cooler Master CM 690 III is a brilliant case, super quiet even when under load. I changed the graphics card to the Gigabyte Windforce 780 Ti, a beast of a card with 3 fans, and it also runs so quietly. Also changed my MB to an Asrock Z87 Extreme6 and got a 1000W PSU.

I am really happy with this computer :D

A few pics of the build. I didn't think to take pictures while building, please excuse the photo quality:

Thanks @addam! Looks epic, hope you're loving it man!

How often do you LAN?

If by LAN you mean go to a friend and LAN, then never. I do my gaming online. But I prefer laptops as I combine work and play. :)

I record music, play games and do work stuff on my laptop so mobility is key.

There's great MSI i7 Haswell laptops with 8 gig RAM and a Geforce GT 760M chip that I'm looking at that will do just fine for now. :)

Well then maybe a Laptop is a good idea. Friend of mine games on his Laptop and swears by it. It's certainly easier to lug around than an entire gaming setup.

I would not put the pc on the ground there , there is a possibility that you are going to kick it. Rather put it on the table where that apple is

Are you mad, with that much cash in that thing he will never forgot where it's sitting

Exactly. My pc is on the floor and I have gotten used to sitting to the left of it and when crossing my legs not hitting it. It's not hard to get used to (just one klap)

A rule I have is to keep all tech at least 15cm off the ground. It's the dust level, from feet, drafts etc. My PC isn't on my desk, it's on it's own personal table right next to my desk about 45cm off the ground.
