New Computer

I have reconsidered....

If I buy the above, I would also need:
- A new PSU (450 el'cheapo currently)
- A new Monitor (17" LCD currently)
- possibly new hdd, my 160GB is like 5 years old
- GPU

So my minimum spend ever will be like 7k....
 
Thats the thing when upgrading there are always "Hidden" cost that rape the budget, but good luck trying to make it all work, it will be well worth it when it all comes together
 
After a failed weekend of trying to get Rage working on my pc, I've been forced to relook the upgrade path myself.

Thanks to OP and all the replies for some good input on what to look for.
Would this be a good spot to query the AMD vs Intel routes ? I've been running Intel for so long that I don't even know what AMD is like anymore...
 
I am also and Intel user so I am clueless when it come to AMD you sould ask Joker I know he is well clued up on them
 
Yip, pm me what you are looking at and what you wanna know.
There are pro's on con's to both amd and Intel so will have to discuss that.
