I figured I would post this here because I find it truly fascinating. Women actually have as much erectile tissue as men and can in a very real way 'get an erection'.

To me it's just mind boggling how we are still discovering such basic aspects of the human body. Like how can some people believe we know everything about everything when there is still so much we don't know about ourselves.

If you are interested to read more about the topic I would suggest heading over to Arstechnica and checking out their article.

In general, advances in to human sexuality are very interesting (particularly in how they may help relationships).

However, the majority of the (male) community, particularly one such as a gaming forum, are either made uncomfortable by it (which either leads to quiet avoidance or aggressive responses), or simply reply in a not-so-helpful manner due to them having a much "simpler" (and possibly chauvinist) view on sex. And women.

I've already known of the bits in the article, its good, interesting stuff. Sex is extremely important in relationships, so its really healthy to be clued up by it.

Then again, I guess someone could argue that "kiddies" frequent these forums and would suffer psychotic breakdowns if exposed to anything relating to "private bits". But when compared to the general intelligence of the average user... >_>

I thought this was common knowledge....

I thought this was common knowledge....
Well the experiments were only done in 2009 and the information has only really been circulating to the community at large since the beginning of this year, so I doubt it would have been common knowledge considering even doctors didn't know about this.

HAHA!

Guys will look for a golf ball."

I had just always thought the firming up of that area of the female genitalia when aroused was well, normal & everyone knew it.
