New Fan Controller [ Fans getting out of control]

Right so I am looking into buying a fan controller to handle my frankly absurd fan-setup here.

So I have 8 12cm fans; what would you guys recommend as the best product for this endeavour ?

Thanks in advance

There are almost no fan controllers out there that will accommodate 8 fans. You could look at the Lamptron FC8 or the FanMax 8 channel, but I don't know of any places in SA that stock/supply them, so they'll be an import.

A better alternative is to get two four channel controllers (Deepcool makes some good looking ones).

I don't mind getting 2 4-channels; what would ya recommend?

Agreed. Lamptron are outstanding.

And they do make 8 channel controllers, just SA is useless with their stock. Lamptron FC8,

I have the bitfenix recon one, its fairly easy to use and monitors the fan speed based on the case temp which is nice.

Would look kinda dopey though.

Prft. It would be like the PC-equivalent of the throttles on a 747. Or something. :D

And yeah, I know Lamptron make an 8-channel FC - I mentioned it in my very first post - just no stock of it in SA ;)

How about this? http://www.rebeltech.co.za/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=12_31&products_id=10531 Out of sight out of mind + it's PWM so your PC will decide what speeds to run them at.

I thought about that as well. But would be kinda cool to have displays and all.

MAAAN that would look cool as hell. Maybe even have a plan takeoff sound as my startup sounds

So you would highly recommend it?

I meant 2 fans in one channel (ie pair the 2 intakes to one connection).

Depending on your PC though 2 fans is barely passing IMO, I have 6 fans in mine

Depends on your cases airflow, a smaller case with a lot of components cramped together I would recommend more fans. If it is an spacious chassis, with components well spaced apart 2 - 3 120/140mm fans will do wonders.

True but if we also go back on topic, more fans+fan controller= lower fan speeds and less noise with plenty of air flow. But as with fans and cooling (like you said) it depends on your case, hardware and airflow stats at the end of the day, there is no silver bullet.
