New gaming PC

Hi there

I want to buy a new gaming pc. Just a few questions

I want to get the z97 hero board but I'm unsure if it's worth it. There is a low availability on this board. Is it worth spending money on this or should i rather get something like a z97-plus or z97-a. I want ASUS board and nothing else. This is going to be a pure gaming PC and I'm also going to overclock my CPU.

Not even close to being worth it, unfortunately Asus dropped the ball on the after sales service. Rma's taking weeks or even months to get sorted, you can't ever get hold of anyone at Asus, so for now avoid Asus. If you want to spend that much money on a board there is only one board I would personally recommend and that is the MSI Z97 Mpower and Mpower Max, I owned the Z87 version and it was by far the best motherboard I have ever owned, much better board than even the top of the line Gigabyte or Asus boards.

They are an absolute joy to work with and overclock on.
