New high end gaming laptops launch at rAge

How i wish i could afford to trade my 15" XPS in for the 17" Alienware one. /drools

atleast ur sitting with something better than this crummy mecer 2.8 p4 im sitting here with at work (its as hot as a heater) or my superslow celeron 1.6 dell inspiron lappy at home

Ill get a quote from my supplier :p

drive control as in the same guys who bring western digitals into the country?

They are quite a bit too expensive here, especially compared to the US prices. I bought my laptop over there and it works out about 45% cheaper for the same thing here. Ridiculous.

Did I miss the stand at rAge? I would have loved to see these... Or did they just announce it during a talk or something?

I also did not see any of those stands...... and we walked through the place probably 3 or 4 times.....

I also got mine from the states. Was just under 9k and here in SA it was just over 20k and then i wouldnt even have got it with HD sound or a 160gig HDD or a 2.0Ghz core to duo processor....

we get ripped of badly here in SA....

Correct and go to the US and you can change that to something like $2500 or a rough Rand figure of only R19000.

Of course I am guessing but I can bet that I am not too far off.
