New LG G5

InSanity

Just wants the trophy
Seeing as there is one for the Samsung s7 I thought only fair to have this here

http://www.theverge.com/2016/2/21/11077616/lg-g5-announced-specs-release-date-price-mwc-2016

they haven't announced its processor yet but i'm pretty sure it will be the same exyos as the s7 considering they are using the same chipset and also are using 4gb Ram, this is the first time i have been excited about a phone and no i'm not a fanboy i just go to whichever brand i believe is trying to be original and innovative

Am I the only one that thinks this looks gimmicky as hell? I bet each add-on costs an arm and a leg too, and probably won't be compatible with anything else.

it definitely wont be compatible with any other devices they are designed for the the G5 as for costs most probably going to cost an arm and a leg (ie. bang and olufsen super expensive) still generally LG's come out cheaper than their competitors, so you can use the difference to get some of these and there's lots of other features that i find innovative like i mentioned in another thread the dual rear camera is really cool the fast boot also really cool

Yea pretty much what worries me. Sold my Samsung gear 2 because the only device it can attach to is a Samsung.

Let's see how it goes though. I am all for innovation and there might be a gem in all the knick knacks.

LG has upped their game in the last few years since their G2

They really have. The only thing I dont like is the leather backs on the G4. Like I said in the other thread, Ima be saving up for a new phone this year and the G5 may well be one of the options I look at. Waiting patiently for MKBHD to do a video review :D Cant wait to see what Google's next Nexus will be as well.

I currently have the LG G3 which I bought from the Orange store, so I don't have to do the 2 year upgrade thing. So far the G3 is still an awesome phone so I won't be upgrading anytime soon. The G5 does look nice though. I just have to keep myself from buying a new phone :)

I'm all for modular phones if its done properly, but it just seems like they are going to charge pretty high per extra module, and as far as i know there's only 2 modules available at launch?
