New NVIDIA Drivers

i'll pass til they are WHQL.

beta drivers and me have hate/hate relationship...

lol. That's weird man. I've always tested the Beta drivers with no real problems. These seem very cool as well because they've updated and changed the way the installations works and you can now select a "clean install" as well where it wipes all your old driver data for you.

I wouldn't be surprised if these go WHQL very quickly :)
 
Got this yesterday as well, and seems to be working fine. Like Neo said, like the clean install option. And I swear my 3D even looks better now :)

I didn't get a chance to test these for myself last night but the other guys on the Guru3D forums are saying it's the best driver for a long time.
 
I lost a card due to beta drivers. Overheated (don't believe me google 196 series beta overheating issues) ATI tool / my monitoring utils did not support this new driver version, went to go make a sammich came back with my screen full of artifacts. had to chuck the card.

Eina pyn. I remember those drivers and the specific defect they had. That's why I always follow the comments from the guys over at the Guru3D forums to hear what their opinion is before I load a beta driver. They also reported the defect that fried your card before anyone else did - so I steered clear of those drivers. This one seems pretty solid though :)
 
Well I installed the new drivers tonight and saw absolutely NO performance improvement. Oh well. I guess the GTX 280 range is nearing end-of-life pretty quickly now.
