So i'm planning on buying a complete new PC soon and iv come up with a rough list of components. Was wondering if anyone can see anything that wont work too well with any another components or if i'm missing anything important etc.

So here's the list:
- Corsair Carbide 300R With Windowed Side Panel Black No PSU ATX Chassis
- Corsair GS700 Gaming Series 700W Power Supply
- Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10 8GB (1 x 8GB) 240-Pin SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" SATA Desktop Hard Drive (HDD)
- Samsung 840 EVO Series MZ-7TE120BW 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (SSD)
- MSI Z87-G45 GAMING Intel Z87 Chipset ATX Motherboard
- Samsung SH-S223C / SH-S222BB 22x Sata Black DVDROM Writer
- MSI GTX770 GAMING TF OC 2GB nVidia GeForce GTX 770 Graphics Card
- Intel Socket 1150 Haswell i5-4440 3.1GHz Quad Core Processor With Fan
- Microsoft Windows 8.1 DSP 64bit Multi Language

Not too experienced with picking out my own/best components for a PC build so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

The only thing that I would change would be the OS, from Windows 8 to Windows 7.

But that's just me not being a fan of Windows 8.

Otherwise, that will be one hell of a rig your building.

Don't do that, Windows 8 more like 8.1 is far superior to windows 7 when it comes to gaming and its not just BF4, more and more games will make use of DX11.2 which won't be available on Windows 7.

@OP I'll have a look for you and see if I can't give you more bang for your buck.

Will have a look at that later.

Suppose one could just install Start8 to get a normal start bar instead.

There is absolutely no reason on earth to go with 7 over 8 as a gamer. The only people I know who don't like 8, have not used it. No one uses the start menu anyway, why the hell do they now bitch about it? As mentioned, there a third party tools if you REALLY want a start menu but the performance enhancements of 8 should weigh far more heavily on your planned build than aesthetics which can be modified to be virtually the same.

There is also a lot of incredible advice on the buildapc subreddit: www.reddit.com/r/buildapc.
