I turned on my new PC last night for the first time after waiting a couple of months to collect all the components. I'm not the most clued up person when it comes to the latest components etc, but I did a little research and price checking when building this latest addition.
Specs:
Intel Core i7-3820 CPU
Inter Liquid Cooled Radiator/heatsink for CPU
ASUS ROG Rampage IV Gene MBoard
Geforce 8800GTS (320MB/320bit) - Still my old card
Kingston HyperX T1 8GB DDR3 2400
Aerocool VP-750w PSU
Basically what I'm asking is, is there anything I should know (must know) about this system when it comes to set up BIOS settings, things like that to ensure I get the best out of it, not looking to over clock, just the best standard operation.
Another thing, the first time I started the PC the fan on the radiator was very quiet and running at a reasonably steady pace, but once I installed windows and booted the pace picked up a lot and has continued like that since.
