New PS3 v3.21 Firmware update

Hey all

Just a heads up before you think it is an April fools joke, this is no joke. Sony will be releasing the new firmware as from 1st April 2010 and will be overwriting all foreign OS's that are installed... Should the user choose not to install the update, PSN will NOT work.

So I wonder if not upgrading your firmware is going to give your ps3 a better resale value now?

Sony must really be worried about what could come about from it. Chances are if a software mod is developed for the ps3 then it would be implemented through the otherOS function so i think Sony is killing that hope. Im guessing if you do hang onto a non updated unit it will be pretty valuable if a software hack does come out..

I think he is refering to un-updated consoles selling for more if pirated games can be played on them. Then PSN wouldm't be a priority anyway.

Yeah I have, as soon as you log into the psn it alerts you about the update.

I keep getting some error after downloading for some time. I just want to know if it bombs out does it start downloading from the beginning, or from where you got up to before it stopped?

Mine timed out a few times as well , and it seems it starts downloading again from the start.

Atleast I don't have to worry about update size anymore xD
