Forgot to mention that this is my 3rd Netgear router that died and Yes,I have an APC surge protector.Netgear FTW!

That one!
Thanks! I'll have a look at those although I don't need a 3G failover.
Yeah, you need a little bit more that that though. 3G failover is a very nice to have.
Am I the only one looking at this and thinking we have a computer hardware section that this would fit brilliantly into.
Does the 3G fail over link up to a sim card when your ADSL goes down? And if this is the case is there one with LTE fail over?
One of these

Ideally you need both for it to be marginally more effective.
However to be much better protected you also need a Type 1 combined lightning and surge protector installed on your main DB board
My personal suggestion for a new DSL router would be the D-Link DSL-2750U ADSL2+ 4-PORT WI-FI ROUTER WITH 3G FAILOVER
My bad. Forced to use tapatalk since my routers blown. New version sucks.Am I the only one looking at this and thinking we have a computer hardware section that this would fit brilliantly into.
Usually you plug in a USB 3G dongle into the router for the secondary link. It should have LTE if the dongle supports it.Does the 3G fail over link up to a sim card when your ADSL goes down? And if this is the case is there one with LTE fail over?
This is only the case if the router supports the 3G dongle version and has 3G settings for it.
Most entry level routers has a USB slot but this is only for shared network space on a flash drive.
Or has an extremely limited amount of devices that it will recognize
