New Unreal Tournament on the horizon

I'm just happy they allow modders to mod the game. I'm actually looking forward to see what people will do with the game.

I don't know what all the hoo-haa is about. When the last UT was a "current" game almost no one played on the servers. So what's the point?

Because the last UT game sucked.

DUFAQ are you talking about me "denying" people? The elections are over champ. You can get off your horse now. And yes, you all enjoyed unreal tournament so much that the servers were at capacity all the time....NOT.

Be realistic, the game has not enjoyed the online community support that games like Battlefield have in absolute ages. So, my comment (or read "denying" - Eugene) is that everyone's going gaga over a game that seemingly has very little community support when it's actually available.

That, is my point.

People liked UT2004 and it was a massive hit. How many of you are aware that NAG has been hosting UT2004 gaming nights every friday for the past few weeks? They actually had to put up an overflow server because there were just too many players for a single server and people had trouble getting in. We're talking about a game released 10 years ago.

Now please, tell me again how it's pointless to release a new UT game. ;)

People are still actively playing UT2004. There a small group of members on MyBroadBand who are getting together every so often.

Well I think some gamers are gonna be incredibly pissed off with epic and the Unreal Engine 4. Hopefully they optimize it for AMD because at the moment it is heavily optimized for Nvidia and not at all optimized for AMD.
