New Xbox 360 disc format

its exactly the same disc everyone has been using these past few years, all Microsoft did was redesign/reduce the security sectors to free up an extra +- gig of space.
 
it makes sense to make the disc bigger seeing as the games are getting bigger...especially LA Noire for example, it was approximately +- 20 gigs :| well done microsoft

The new "format" is named XDG3, the first game to incorperate it was Driver San Fransisco i believe, as well as Gears 3.
The new disc's are also supposed to add an additional layer of security while increasing disc size, but crafty ninja's have already been able to circumvent the new disc's with custom firmware for the DVD drives.

as far as we will see, there is zero difference. game installs will be unaffected. the extra space just contains security data. dirty pirates should now be unable to play new games :-)
