The wait is finally over and the New Xbox One Experience has begun deployment today from 12:01 AM PDT/3:01 AM PDT onwards. If you’re reading this, then you may have already received the update though Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb noted that the update will have a phased deployment. Don’t worry if you haven’t received it yet – it’ll come eventually.

Those with Instant On power for their Xbox One will have the update automatically download while Energy Saving users will need to head to their System settings and hit the “Update Now” option. The backwards compatibility option for Xbox 360 titles will be available after 12:01 PM PDT/3:01 PM EDT today.

It should be pointed out that you can avoid downloading the update immediately but on November 23rd, it will be mandatory for all consoles to update to the New Xbox One Experience. Better to do it sooner than later.

It's definitely much better than the previous dash.
No more lag when holding down the XBOX button the controller.

Stuff are easier to find now as well.
