The Pro version has the ability to convert from one format to another.

Saying that, there will always be quality loss, converting from one format to another.

Imho, rip or download in, at least, 256 kbps MP3 format. File size vs quality ratio is good. Other peeps are satisfied with 192 kbps.

But when taking a variable or a 128 bitrate WMA and converting to MP3, you are just destroying the little bit of limited quality that a 128 bitrate song had to offer
