So we now Know what each of the big consoles are bringing to the market for the next generation. While everyone is fighting it out about hardware specs, pre-owned, always online and the like I was wondering about the controllers.
Each of the consoles are very unique as far as their controllers are working or going to work and I would like to know what people think.
Touch-screens, share buttons, impulse triggers? Which one is the fairest of them all?

Note that I am referring to the controllers only, not any other peripherals that work in conjunction with them like the Kinect 2 on XBox One or the new Playstation eye.

to me the xbox controller will always be the best.. those 2 analog sticks are in the place they were born to be :) and now that theyh moved the xbox button to the top there will no longer be that accidental button push :D

Well I wish I could say the Wii U but it just didn't work out that way, the controller is just confusing (and resistive touchscreen in this day and age really??) So New Kinect has the tip o'the hat for me.

I voted the Playstation 4 because I've grown up with the basic design all my life and the new features are really cool.

Xbox One has this wrapped up, just like the previous versions.
The PS3 remote isn't bad but it doesn't come close to the look and feel of the X360 controller and from what I saw the Xbox One controller is just a upgrade of the 360 version, looks damn good. That's one thing Microsoft def got right.

Xbox one, looks more comfortable and I don't really like the idea of having a screen on a gamepad.

I was very happy to see no touch pad on the new Xbox controller, they have smart glass optional for people who are into crap like that.
Also grew up with a Playstation but the Xbox controller just feels right. The size is better for one thing and the position of the sticks just work.
The Playstation controller is too small and feels awkward, I still think its designed for tiny Asian hands...
The Wii U controller just looks wrong on principal and I've had a problem with it since they announced the console a while back.

The PS controller always bothered me because it's got a glaring usability issue with the symbols. I keep having to look down at it even after 15 years to remember which one is Circle.

I'm probably one of a very small group of people who prefer the PS controller over the Xbox one. For me it's the perfect shape and size and I like where the sticks are, the d-pad is also better than that of any other controller that I've seen. The only thing I don't like is the R2 and L2 buttons, the Xbox triggers work much better. Looking forward to try out the DS4, hope the feel hasn't changed too much.
The biggest issue for me on the Xbox controller is the battery pack at the back. My fingers keep pressing against it and annoys me endlessly. For some reason, I also prefer the feel of DS3's buttons when you press them.

LOL. Are you serious? Really must suck to be you.

Yeah man, well I don't play ps3 much at all so I lose my muscle memory every time. Plus I'm a bit thick, innit.

I had the same problem when I was using a xbox controller to play Tomb Raider on my PC. It'd tell me to push X and i'd have to look more often than none since I'm used to where it is on Playstation.

I'm voting xbox just because it looks more comfortable and the Share button and touch pad on the PS controller were wtf moments for me. I really don't see why they need to be part of the core controller, going out of your way to use the touch pad is silly imo. At least on the Vita it made a lil' more sense. The light on the front I can understand they're using it for tracking like the Move but I might need to see a demo with more practical application before I'm convinced.

The xbox controller just looked sleeker and more comfortable.

Most likely will get both down the line. Its pretty hard to tell though, if it ends up no one gets the xbox, because of what ever reason, i will end up with only the ps4. But i think its too early to tell, since we don't have much info on the ps4. I think too many people are complaining not enough was said about games at the announcement, but to be honest, we all know it will play games, they really didnt need to focus on it. we will find out more at E3, i think after E3 we will have a much better idea which is going to be better.

Edit: Shite, miss read the title of the thread. Either way it still kind of stands, i dont really think we know enough yet. All i've heard is the xbox has better vibration features, but until we see it implemented or reviewed, we only basing this on what sony and MS have said. Which doesn't help much.

The PlayStation controllers are too small, feels like it for kiddy hands, the Xbox feels more comfortable and easier to work with, plus you get limited edition controllers, like the Tomb Raider one which looks totally kicka$$, playstation is too limited and boring.

I preferred the 360 controller way more to the PS3. But I don't think you can actually judge which next-gen controller is better without actually holding it in your hands.
