Like all the best video game locations, Seacrest County is a completely ridiculous place. The roads are universally pristine and peppered with awesome shortcuts. The national parks are gloriously free of gigantic RVs. And when people decide to break traffic laws, they do it at 200mph in exotic supercars. If that sounds like a slice of heaven pie to you, then you're going to want to check out Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, a reboot of Electronic Arts' cops-and-speeders driving series from veteran developer Criterion Games.

Metacritic has it at 92.
 
Cant wait to get it!! finally getting back to arcade racing.. Seems that blur and split second showed us that track racing eventually gets monotonous..

Are you sure? I have to admit that I didn't get the demo like I said I would and pretty much only went on your comments - the other guys on here also dissed it pretty badly to the point where it sounded like this game would suck - but now the wheels are turning?? (hehe see what I did there?)

I hope it's a good game - but I'm more than a little suspicious of this title. I'll wait until you guys have played the full game first :D
 
IGN can something get it wrong but still the score they gave it was decent. Ill be checking out other reviews before buying it.
 
In all honesty, the demo should lure people to buy the game once released.

Sadly, the demo put me off completely. Will wait to pick it up an a bargain bin.
 
imho demo's usually are also ways of picking up bugs in the gameplay and get a more objective view from a larger audience instead of their few beta testers.. so in most cases its not 100%.. think about it, whats the best way to put a game out there and get an idea of how it will perform without any damaging criticisms.. so lets hope that this demo is something to be brushed off and the complete game is awesome..
