NFS Shift or DiRT 2

OK, so I have spent some time on both games, and they are both very polished racing titles, you really cant go wrong either way. I am especially blown away by Shift at the moment, so I would probably go with that but I need more time to make a real decision.

It might come down to what type of racing appeals to you more
 
Ok, so payday is finally here and I now have to decide which one of these two titles to buy. I don't want to buy both because I cannot play two similar games at the same time, I will just lose interest. I've read and watched some reviews of both games and this hasn't helped anything as both games get fairly good reviews. I have no preference over any of the two racing genres, I just want a good, fun game. Which should I buy?
 
Dirt2 was my first choice, but as soon as I think I decided upon it, this little voice in my head tells me I must buy Shift instead and vice versa.

I wish holding them in my hands helped me. I hate making decisions, especially when games are concerned. Holding them in my hands just makes me more confused, coz they both look so awesome! :confused:
 
I also want Dirt2, mainly because I'll get to mess around in a Subaru :D But I'm afraid it's like most other rally games that are easy in the beginning and get nigh on impossible in later stages. Shift I want for the dynamic cockpit view and the authentic engine sounds ...
 
I've been playing DiRT 2 for a little while now and I have to say it is awesome! I haven't played shift yet, so I don't know which one is better but DiRT 2 is definitely worth it. :D
 
Nope, unfortunately since I have to buy other games (Sacred 2: Blood and Ice and Uncharted 2) before next months payday I have to save up my money and cannot afford both games at this stage, but I will get Shift eventually. I'm definitely very happy with my choice of getting DiRT 2 first, the graphics and gameplay are awesome and the very first car you get to drive is a Subaru (my dream car) :D
 
So I finally gave in and went and got Shift as well today. Now I just have to finish work (in 4 hours) to go and see how it compares to DiRT 2.

As a result of getting Shift I am now completely broke until the end of October and do not have any money for cigarettes or food, but at least I have both games now. :p
 
DIRT 2 is much better. Played it for about 2 weeks now and I personally think the graphics and gameplay is superior. You always feel the sudden burst of accomplishment when winning a race on top of making it look so damn good
