Ok, back on topic. I had a DS Lite a while ago, but I wasn't so impressed with it. But there's a designer at my work who used to work for Nintendo, and still does promotions and stuff, and he was showing off his 3DS to us, and the AR stuff that it can do is pretty awesome.

I don't know if it's a concept thing or a released game, but you can eg. look at your desk though its camera, but if you put a card on the desk it kicks off a program, and you see your desk swell and burst, and a dragon pops out and you have to shoot at it, and as you move around with the camera, it changes the perspective.

You didn't like the DSlite? Wowee :D prolly didnt have the good games?

Also that AR Games is build in standard and you get 6 cards with it to bring out 5 diffrent nintendo characters and take random pics with and then there's the ? card that has the AR Games. There's also a pokedex that uses AR to bring out Pokemon on your desk, etc. I see games like Kid Icarus is also having a form of AR Cards now, though havent played Kid Icarus yet so dunno how it's used. The New Kingdom Hearts game will also have AR Cards.

Probably didn't have good games, there didn't seem to be that many around in general though. The best game I had was super mario bros.
 
New SMB was indeed pretty epic, other games you could've or could(if you still up for it) try is, Castlevania(all 3 if you can), The Wolrd Ends With You, any Ace Phoenix game, Trauma Center, Zelda(any of the 2), Advance Wars, DBZ Attack of the Saiyans was awesome aswell.... need to open my brain for more suggestions.
 
Omega was gating(coloured slang if you dont understand) some bra that was spamming ^_^ I was also liek wtf is going on is everybody getting 3DS's now?

I think maybe I should clarify the not liking the DS Lite thing. It was actually very lekker, and I think it would have been better if I had better games, but they were quite scarce, and when it came down to the choice of buying a DS game over something else, I rather bought an XBox or PS3 game, so I think I didn't really get into it like I might otherwise have. I did enjoy SMB though.
 
When I bought my 3DS I was like “not bad” ( that was december) but it missed a few NEEDED things like. A facebook app, a twitter app, a YouTube app, more non-childish games, a NON EMPTY south african app store, the ability to set a background wallpaper, bluetooth, Augmented Reality Browser, few more AR games wouldn't hurt, longer batt live, GPS and most definatly Skype or Facetime or something in that line, don't ya think

Would like to see games like, god of war and mass effect and prototype and call of duty and burnout and gears of war and battlefield and REAL final fantasy and far cry and games like that, sure i like the occasional mario but they are totally over using him. I mean really, mario tennis open, super mario 3, paper mario 2d, new super mario bros 2, mario kart 7 not to mention the limited edition japanese themed nintendos and the life size mario kart that they gave away

The two highlighted games are exclusives for other brands. Doubt that you will ever see them on a Nintendo console. I agree with you in the sense that there should be some more heavy-hitting games on the handheld, but also only to a certain extent. Far Cry, BF and CoD don't really belong on a console like this. FPS games aren't really what this console was made for. I'm not saying that it shouldn't happen though.
 
Just a heads-up to my fellow 3DS owners: BT Games is selling Resident Evil: Revelations, Sonic Generations and PES2012 on the 3DS for R199. The first two really seems like something you need to own.
