Camera bags look like a viable option. The 3DSXL look hard to come by. Give it another few months if you are willing, I am sure that they will start to appear online.

Otherwise, go with the camera bag.
 
This thing is evil I am having so much fun with the games I got for it and for a 2 day's did not even touch my pc. :D :)

I bought a very nice bag (Made in Ireland) and case for cheap from ebay and they are good quality for my 3ds xl with tons of space for 2 Gameboxes and cartridges plus all the accessories needed for a 3ds xl

Yeah thing is 3DS XL is still a bit newish so accessories will still take a while to show. Normal 3DS had the same slow accessories at first.
 
Speaking off... there should be some new info aswell as 3 new pokemon reveals for Pokemon X and Y over this weekend... hope its more detailed so we can know what to expect.
 
Just got a brand spanking new 3DS XL. Just have to figure out how this friend code things work and wait for my Mario Kart 7 to be delivered :)

Any other hints? Where to get the cheapest games, new or 2nd hand?

I got most of my games for under 200 you would be surprised how many sales reggies and incredible have on the games.

picked up today mario kart 7 for R150

I bought 4 games from dionwired at R100 each
Zelda ocharina of time
Lego pirates of the carribean
tetris
need for speed the run

I then bought
NDS Super Mario 64 from Incredible connection for R50.

And then second hand, I bought:
Paper mario sticker star
Kid Icarus uprising
