Nintendo grinning about Wii U pre-orders

I wonder how many units it will sell initially. I am really keen on getting one of these, but I have a few other financial obligations to get out of the way first.
 
Since its only £299 for the Premium compared to the £250 for the basic I may get me and My wife 1 for Xmas.
