Nintendo Switch won't be region-locked, company president Tatsumi Kimishima announced during tonight's Nintendo Switch presentation.
As such, Nintendo Switch will support software imported from other territories, which isn't the case for Wii U and 3DS.
During the event, Nintendo also announced the price and release date of the upcoming console. Nintendo Switch will launch worldwide on March 3, 2017 for $299.99 USD and 29,980 yen. The company also shared a few details about Switch's online service, as well as the console's battery life.
