Games like Bioshock are awesome because YOU are the one in the situation and YOU are the one at the core of the experience. As soon as you change it to become something you just watch the power is no longer there and it's something completely different.

I disagree, the setting of Bioshock could make for a pretty awesome movie. Knowing the state of the game/movie industry though, it'd probably suck.

Yeah, I agree. A movie perhaps in the world of Bioshock but not a watered down version of the games.
