I agree with the majority of what he said. For the gamers I know and associate with, we'd all make a plan to get the new consoles as soon as they're out regardless of the cost. Although we'd complain about prices we'd still go and buy it. My PC gaming friends also generally replace their PC's every year with the latest and greatest.
Back in the day I used to think PS2 games were expensive they where like R350-R400
As much as I reeeeaaaaally want to buy a game on release date or at full price I just stay strong and wait for a price drop, second hand deal or a friend to pic it up. The last game I bought at full price was Uncharted 3 @ R479.00... it was suprisingly cheap for a new release.
