The evidence does not show that paralympian Oscar Pistorius committed murder, his counsel Barry Roux told the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Thursday.

Roux spoke of the "poor quality" of the investigating officer and said there were shortcomings in the State's case.

Pistorius is charged with murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, which he has denied in an affidavit.

I heard this guy has a monster defense team...against the state prosecutors I am in a bit of a doubt if he will ever be convicted. Money under the table can go a long way too.

He really has a Monster of a defense team.... The A-team if you will :p the evidence shows that his story in the affidavit is plausable And with that that evidence its unlikely that he would go to prison with a life sentence. The fact is he's going to go to prison no matter what. Because he did kill her accident or not. Now its just a matter of how much years...

Money under the table? Who do you think will bribe who?
 
Is this still part of his bail hearing and not the actual trial? If thats the case this is going to drag on for ages.
Jeez but I cant believe how utterly stuffed up this whole thing is. One of our great South African heroes kills one of our great South African beauties in a country rife with violence and crime against women. I was sad but now Im just ridiculously pissed off.

Our police are also so flippin lame, just look at the evidence and figure it out but they are purposefully looking for ways to make Oscar out to be guilty of murder and therefore stuffing the case up. They are almost coming up with lies that the 'A team' defence are blowing apart. If they just stick to the facts the truth, whatever it may be, will come out and no one could deny it.

I suppose this still has a long way to go though.
