No Man's Sky creator breaks silence, tweets game was 'a mistake'

No matter what HG does, if they make a move they will be the most talked about subject on the internet, good or bad. Everyone knows them, even my brother who does not own a Windows PC and does not play games. You cant buy that kind of fame anywhere. This might have been a strategy by them. The whole NMS as it is might have been a intentional thing from them also, that they knew it will not be what was promised, but they also knew it will generate a lot of press. Then they "mistakenly" make it so easy to mod the pak files and under another account maybe release the first mod out there with instructions how to mod. They sit back and watch the community mod the game, hand pick the mods they like and implement it into bigger patches in the future. Like the one mountain mod that became obsolete with the bigger update a while ago, because the update introduced more hills and mountains.

And Jamie McKane if the tweet from them was not intentional it was probably a disgruntled employee or a hacker that tweeted this about the game. But my feelings are that it was intentional to make people talk about them. Look a the know channel, instant video when the tweets happened lol.

Hello games set themselves up for life and ruined their careers in equal parts.

who cares about them and whatever shit they try to make from here on. We bought into the hype, trust broken. Moving on.

If a movie is shit nobody cares. life goes on. It should be the same here. But no, everyone takes gaming far to personally.

If you saw that and the leaked footage and then proceeded to buy the game and then complain afterwards, not sure what to say then. Pretty much what you see there is what is in the game, more now even in the game than in that clip.

I actually didnt buy the game, never played it. Just really sick of everyone going after the developers blood, like "move on already jeez"

Regardless, what they did was bold and innovative. The set a precedence for games and the way procedural generation works, look at everything that claims to now be what NMS should have been, they have all come after NMS. If anything, I applaud them and Sean Murray for thinking outside the box and being so divergent.
