No Man's Sky

I know A LOT more about NMS than I do about SC. And I've seen NMS working. BUT, I will not pre-order before and official release date has been announced.

Just show me where and they can have my money. I was sold from initial announcement.

That's still a silly excuse, even if SC is the worst game ever or gets cancelled tomorrow that still doesn't justify it. I'm not sure why you even brought it up.

to create a comparison.

you call people crazy for pre-ordering a game that is "almost done" and will be released this year.

SC has almost 1.3 million backers. what do you call those people?

and iirc (I might be wrong), you have backed at least 1 kickstarter. how is that any different? you gave people money for a game that barely/doesn't even exist. :p

In light of the recent SC vs ED vs NMS comparison posts and comments, here's a (slightly dated but still worth a watch) video highlighting their differences.
My opinion that there's more than enough gaming value in all three titles still remains. Each one is looking strong enough to stand up on its own, and if you like your sim games spaceyfied, and can afford all three, you'd be silly to pit one against the other.

I still don't think it's a fair comparison. The only comparison you should really do is ED vs SC (from a simulation sense), even then it's outweighed as they are (all) totally different games.

Can't we all just get along and play what we want to play, without prejudice. Gawsh, you like what you like and I'll like what I like, let's accept it and move on. Value each others opinions and make your decision.

Exactly my point. It's a pointless comparison.

You're right of course. I probably shouldn't have used "sim" in my note. Let's scratch that and go with "games with a space theme".

...even then it's outweighed as they are (all) totally different games.
Eggzactaly. Just play all the games!

I wouldn't even try to put ED, SC or no mans sky in the same box, or even SC and ED. If that were the case then slap in all the other space stuff, Moonbase , Kerbal space program, Deliver us to the moon, Infinity: BladeScape, Duskers, Ascent: The Space Game , Descent, etc... The games are different completely.
