No mod support for Battlefield 3 because DICE is "afraid" of it

/Gather Popcorn
/Puts a few Beers in the cooler
/Sets up Camping chair.
/Sits back and waits for the EA/DICE hating to begin.
 
The reason they don't include mod tools is because mods offer competition to the developers using their current business model. Anyone who says otherwise is just blowing smoke. If they went they TF2/DOTA2 way of community modifications they could probably make a lot of cash and have a lot of content and choice for the consumer.
 
I don't think this is going to happen. BF4 is already in the pipeline so after the expansions I predict that DICE will focus solely on BF4.:(
 
Haha, I would never have guessed DICE's response after seeing the amount of hackers on BF3 every night...
