Nominations for MyGaming forum member of the year - 2015

It's probably a bit late for this, but since no-one else is doing it I guess it falls to me again.

It's time to nominate your favourite forum members of the year.

Who do you think contributed most to the community? Who made you laugh? Who gave the most joy? Who kept you coming back for more?

Since the forum only supports 20 poll options, a poll will be created listing the people that were nominated the most times, so if you think someone is deserving, please nominate them, even if they are already listed by someone else.

  • MyGaming staff are not eligible. (they win by default )
  • You can not nominate yourself, but you can nominate up to 10 other people.
  • If you really really want to nominate more than 10 people, you have to give a good reason for each one of them.
  • Ignore any statements that say something like: "please exclude me".


If you're going to write a paragraph about the person you're nominating, please put their name in bold once (preferably use a mention), so we can find it easier.

Remember this is not a popularity contest, it's a way to thank the people that make the forum a joy to visit.

Since I've won two years in a row, I won't be taking part in this one, so please exclude me.

It's obvious that [MENTION=20]Solitude[/MENTION] should be nominated - he's been keeping the forum running for the past couple of months with great posts and good initiatives.

Then there is [MENTION=82]Dohc-WP[/MENTION] for keeping me up to speed on gaming news (yes, I don't actually read news on gaming sites - I depend on this very forum for my news and updates).

Finally we have Ms TK herself, [MENTION=2530]Wyvern[/MENTION], for arranging the great Secret Santa event again this year and keeping the TK chatter going.

The official nominees are! In no particular order and not really official:
[MENTION=82]Dohc-WP[/MENTION] - He keeps coming with the news posts and is the main source of my gaming news.
[MENTION=2530]Wyvern[/MENTION] - She is just the queen of TK and MyGaming plus she helped with Secret Santa.
[MENTION=9789]DieGrootHammer[/MENTION] - He has a way with words. His posts are often long and well thought out and he brings a lot of passion to the forum.
[MENTION=5134]MalicE[/MENTION] and [MENTION=3505]DarthMol[/MENTION] who persevered when no one else could. They completed a massive challenge and created threads for months.
[MENTION=14824]Donisia[/MENTION] - She has such an uplifting personality and she brings a kindness and a spirit of bubliness (how can this not be a word?) to MyGaming that we sorely needed.

[MENTION=82]Dohc-WP[/MENTION] - He continues to bring us the latest news within the gaming world
[MENTION=2530]Wyvern[/MENTION] - She is the heart and soul of the forum
[MENTION=3505]DarthMol[/MENTION] - Created many interesting threads through the drought of activity and news from the rest of the site
[MENTION=5134]MalicE[/MENTION] - Because his ego is writing cheques his body can't cash...
 
My number one nomination goes to...
[MENTION=20]Solitude[/MENTION] who went above and beyond just being the nice guy on the forum. He thought up the whole Brute Force competition and generously sponsored the prize himself all for the love of the forum. (And no, it's not just because I won the prize that I'm doing the nomination!)
[MENTION=5134]MalicE[/MENTION] who gave me good competition with the forum posting, and posted some really great discussion topics.
[MENTION=13506]Reavs[/MENTION] for awesome generosity, this guy posts some real quality Steamgifts giveaways for the members of this forum.
[MENTION=2530]Wyvern[/MENTION] for organising the Secret Santa event, I enjoyed being part of it and she was a great help with "gift logistics".

Cara hasn't posted since Feb 2014, so not sure she's eligible. Unless she got a new account and I just missed it, which is also very possible.

I thought you needed X nominations before getting put onto the list...wasn't that what happened last time?

You know, to avoid the one-hit wonders... Getting their hopes up is just mean.
