Nvidia calls Intel i7 a waste of money

LOL yeah they are retards, its a piss expensive cpu, ive actually seen 1 retailing for R25 000:eek::eek:
That was from some rip off online shop!!

jeeeeeeeeeeeez. yeah look, part fault on my side, I didnt customize the specs myself, well most of it, I just told them TOPEND, and QUote now.

To be honest, I am an AMD supporter when it comes to CPUs so what Intel does means nothing to me, but what I can say is that Intel is just diminishing their target market. They are supposed to aim at people who want to game casually and hardcore or professionally, not just the skatryk professionals. AMD provides almost equal performance for MUCH less and they're highly overclockable. You try to get an i7 running stable at 7GHz.

I agree, but I get the feeling that mobos for AMD proc's haven't really cought up. Yeah, they are cheaper than a board for a Intel, but there are so meany things you have to keep in mind when you buy a mobo for a AMD. Like the south bridge... The cheap boards still uses SB600. You can get the newer one(SB750) but then check the price of the mobo...

PS: Keep in mind that this is for a xfire audience.

I used to be hardcore AMD, if you even mentioned INTEL with me present I would PK you. Then I took a leap of faith and upgraded from my 4800x2 to an Intel C2D E6750, and never looked back. The board and CPU for the 6750 was cheaper than the AMD, but outperformed it by leaps and bounds.

Now I dont really have a preference, when upgrade time comes, Iget the best bang for buck, wether it be Intel or AMD, doesn't matter.

Only the bottom of the range i7 is worth buying.
The i7 920 is available for around R3500 and that's not to bad, it still performs slightly better than the top spec Amd phenom II(i hated saying that)!!
