Anyone in the market for a new mid-range Nvidia graphics card?

Nvidi-blergh...
Hush fanboy.![]()
What are you using?
Just remember: it is "The Way It's Meant To Be Played"![]()
I used to be an Nvidia and Intel fanboi but I ended up converting to AMD last year after putting some thought into it. Figured I'd take a moral stand against Intel (and their DRM aspirations) as well as Nvidia's business practises (PhysX disabled if found using a competitor's graphics card; the Linux drivers debacle; and essentially their knack for hobbling performance for competitive hardware in games: see GameWorks controversy).
And after the past year as an AMD user I've become an AMD fanboi and hope to remain such
Oh, and, AMD R9 290X FTW.
Your points are valid and understood. I was AMD last year, but converted to Intel upon my upgrade; sounds religious.
Only ever once owned a (back then) Radeon GPU, the 9600; all other times I've been strictly, if you will, Nvidia.
Used an 8800GT after my 9600GT packed up; and my current card is small (in dimension) when compared to my old cards I used; and it's fitting well in my m-ATX CoolerMaster 344 Elite.
I will go with Nvidia the next time I upgrade ATI have really gone down the toilet. The performance in Wolfenstein and Watch Dogs has really soured me towards ATI,they produce good hardware but there driver support is bad.

Ok you got me there maybe bringing up watchdogs was not the best move but as an Life long ATI Gpu user I think I am ready to check out the competition and see what they have to offer.I did not want to start a Nvidia,Ati battle. The thing that gets me is both xbone and Ps4 are based on Ati GCN architecture and yet the releases on pc run like ass on Ati cards. You realize the game ran like shit on Nvidia machines as well until the last patch.
Wolfenstein ran flawless on my mates 290 after the drivers were updated so I think you messed up somewhere or you played with settings that your card couldn't handle.
