Nvidia Laptop GTX 980 - FULL Desktop Gaming in a Laptop

Nvidia released a bit of a bombshell today:

They're bringing the full power of GTX980 to high end gaming notebooks. They're even bragging about the ability to overclock these things, which is just crazy. According to the video, it benchmarks under a delta of 5% of the desktop version.

Obviously, MSI will be one of the first on board with the GT72, and all the top notebook manufacturers will be following suit.

I have proof of a gaming desktop in laptop form. I have a GS70 with a 970m inside it and it rivals my R9 280x that's in my desktop... Comparing the I5 and 8GB RAM in my desktop to the I7 and 16GB RAM in the laptop (both have a 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD), I'm actually partial to gaming on the latter these days. Incredible times we live in!

yeah, the times we live in wrt computers, I've been binge watching The Computer Chronicles, episodes from back yay 1983 and damn, 8086, Windows 1, Apples, games with 5fps, etc. damn. We have come along way. from single digit megahertz to multicore, multigiga hertz, terrabytes, etc...
