Official Battlefield 4 Thread

Looks like we all had epic games yesterday. I played a bit last night whilst the wife was asleep with the newborn (not a lot of time for games these days). And I had a flippen lekker game as well. On Operation Locker nogal!

Yeah prior to last night, I had take a 2 week break from BF4. Looks like it did us good.

that was a fun round though. Killed me a few times.
 
I played some games over the weekend, realized I am still shit.

I decided that the M416 has had it's days, so I heard from a friend that the AR160 is pretty good. It's quite powerful though, I get kills quickly with the AR160.

To get it, I needed 20 headshots in Naval Strike with an AR... I was on 16, it took me close to an hour to get the other 4 :D:D:D

What do you all think of the AR160? Anything else that you can recommend?
 
Scar-H. Brilliant AR if you have decent attachments - Has incredible stability with a muzzle break.

@Tsar, yeah was a nice kill.

Yeah, I have used this a lot too. Quite awesome, have a bit of attachments. Will try the AR160 for a bit and then go back to the Scar H and compare it. Thanks

Is it worth getting Second assault ? or should I just play BF3 to get that Metro feel again
I have been fairly bored with BF4 off late actually since China rising

If you're already bored then give it a pass. I would say the Caspian and Firestorm are the gems in Second Assault, more so than Metro and Gulf. Naval Strike is a better Add On really.

Go for naval strike rather.

Although In second assault I really enjoy golf of oman, much much more than in BF3. To me, it is the best map of the DLC.

If you're going to only get 1 DLC then get Naval Strike, overall the best one with the carrier mode etc. Second Assault is fun but not amazing, I enjoy Caspian Border the most out of the second assault maps and not Metro which was my favourite map in vanilla BF3

Thanks brew! I use a very similar setup on most of my guns. Muzzle brake / compensator to adjust for barrel climb / drift, then angled / potato grip to negate the accuracy penalty of the first mentioned.

Awesome, yeah I stick to a similar setup as you do, however I found with the SCAR-H that the Folding Grip -- which counters stability at a loss of accuracy -- compliments the mid-long range encounters with it.
 
Awesome. I have to say, I am loving the AR160... I get massive kills with it, the slightly slower rate of fire (700) makes it so much more accurate for me. Especially with above setup.
 
Had some epic rounds last night hurt the people with my SSR again :D sorry tsar, you should stop running int my scope when i fire at people :p

Yeah we had a few good rounds was best recon 3 times in a row at least :D and had some nice K/D's
But i'm off to bed i'll be on some dota for the next three nights at work seeing as that's all my Work pc will run
