Official Battlefield 4 Thread

well if someone called me a boer(Ive been called a hacker before for getting 20 head shots in a row and not dying) i'd stand up go pour me a bells and try and give him one too :D, cos i am a boer :p. and i thumbs up you on the Taxi Drivers one almost knocked me off my motorbike this morning skipping a red robot. Suffice to say he won't be needing he's right hand mirror anymore :p

I often get called a noob for crashing choppers....

Someone kakked me out the other day for doing so, and he told me not to fly choppers then. I told him to fuck off, I payed the same amount for the game as him :D:D:D

Like I crash them on purpose!!!!! Dammit!!!!!!

Yeah I don't get that mentality either. How the hell am I supposed to get experience in flying these choppers and jets, if I'm "not allowed" to do it because some pinhead has already spent way too much time on the game, and now has some false sense of self importance?

Screw it. But once again, a massive thanks to the TmA guys who spotted me and made me part of their clan. I'm a social gamer now and don't take this stuff too seriously. But it's lekker to play with a bunch of guys who also know how to have fun but can still teach me the ropes. It's awesome when you're having a ball in playing a game, but also getting better at the same time :)

We had a clannie against the TmA guys. Great bunch of guys. Another great bunch are the GRNT guys.

We all hop on TS together and have a blast while messing around. Sometimes, when the match is quite heated and any mistake could prevent you from winning, it's understandable that they want someone experienced in the air.

Best way to practice would be to go onto a less populated server or the training grounds.

I think the main concern is that once you become the pilot of a jet or chopper, you're expected to be some sort of gaming/piloting fundie. There is NO way you can gain that kind of experience without biting the bullet and getting some real-world flying experience in a proper game. That point goes further on public servers, where, everyone paid the same amount for the game and are free to play it as they wish. If you want uber-competitiveness, rather join a clan and ONLY play on clan servers. If you're on a public server, then you have to remind yourself to chill out, or get out.

I know that I suck at flying jets. Really. I don't have a clue how some of these okes are so good at it. Sometimes if the right person is in the air, there is NOTHING the other team can do about it. It's insane. But choppers, well, I can fly those :) But still not as good as some others, mind you. I am one helluva gunner, even if I have to say so myself :D

Lekker post dude! Thanks for the video. This thing explains a lot! There are so many things that's been happening to me in the game which I thought was down to poor skill on my side - which was kinda off-putting since I've never been this bad in FPS games. Now I know that most of it is down to the game itself and not necessarily my lack of skill.

I hate you...

lol, imagine you open one -100% Slurp! You get no score for 1 hour! Or better yet, -200% Slurp! We take your score and it ISN'T a bug! :D

lol, I have no problem with a noob learning, damn, I'm prolly the biggest of them all, I want to learn to fly choppers and jets more this time round.

AA gunners....80% of them are a special breed, hide away in base far away from any enemy aircraft....

Get out there are do stuff, if it gets you killed, fine, its a game, learn from it and respawn.

But I was in one game where one or two player would take a jet or chopper, fly to a capture point and eject to capture the point. That just seems to be such a waste to me, that asset could be better used to ferry players to that point or to attack the enemy.

But yeah, its fun goofing off now and then.

EDIT: Oh, about getting kakked out..... there are some super serious ppl out there....
I was playing support and got so caught up in the moment, you know, killen peeps, that I neglected to spam ammo boxes....this dewd was all, do your work and supply ammo and blah blah blah....lol. I sometimes hide my chatbox to ignore those raging little agro hormones.

Support guys who don't drop ammo work on my nerves...

Helping the team out with an ammo box takes ~2 seconds.

When I play support, I throw down an ammo box every time I reload. Force of habit now.

Yea same with me.. it's almost become second nature at this point. If i'm playing support or assault i tend to drop ammo / health every time i can :D

lmao - it's flippen annoying when you jump up and down in front of a support player, shouting for ammo and he/she just ignores you flat. But again, you have to cater for newbies playing the game as well. As bad as some BF players get, it's NOTHING compared to the verbal abuse you get from DOTA players. Seriously, that community has a special place reserved in the 7th circle of Hell.

One of my new online mates goes ape-shit when people in tanks use double shells. He flippen HATES it! lol - it's sooo funny listening to him rant over it. But I have to add, the gunner on the normal battletanks is like a pea-shooter. Seriously, that thing does NO damage.

Like I said, I spam them, always near where ppl need ammo, it helps me just as much as them with xp. Its give and take, lots of times for example, esp in BF3, I'd request a recon to deploy a soflam and more often that not, I'd get one.
But don't go ape shit and start insulting cause I didn't react to your every whim.

Just annoying when you play support then no-one revives you.
So you switch over to assault to heal yourself and team mates, cause no-one seams to do it, BUT then you receive no ammo from support.
It's like a never ending circle.
FFS! :/

What does get to me is that soldiers never really take downed enemies/team mates kits.

If I'm playing support and a medic goes down, I'll take his kit and revive him. Then communicate with him to follow me - we then kill and enemy and I take his kit and then the medic gets his kit back.
