Well I've only seen the option available recently. And hence I've been playing in OPEN.

Ah oky. Well I only got the game recently, so I wouldn't know :3

The group's name is Unsane if you want to join. I think you request an invite to the group which has to be approved. Then you can join if you want

It has been there from the start, it basically just means that you will never encounter any other human players except for those in your group... The universe is big enough that I'd rather play open group.

I have the same one (as a word of caution Elite Dangerous does not properly detect my specific joystick so I need to edit a file to make it work - let me know if you need help with that).

Cool, shot. Strange that though, as it's on their officially supported devices.
I also want to change my HUD colors to something a little easier on the eyes.

Uhm... silly question, but what drivers am I supposed to load?

When on their (Saitek) website, I don't see the Cyborg F.L.Y 5, but closest is the Cyborg X.

Eish, is that a new thing? It doesn't look like I installed any drivers, I think Windows just picked it up on it's own.

This is something new. First time this is happening. Trying to figure it out... some say it may be related to key bindings being duplicate.

K, I've manually edited the config/binding file and removed all secondary bindings. Game loads now, but I need you to confirm if in game settings > controls > joystick - it just gives me options for the following;

keyboard mouse
keyboard only
generic joystick

I'm using customfly5.binds - copy this file ( http://textuploader.com/6dvj ) into Frontier\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1003\ControlSchemes

No worries, it took me quite a while to figure it out as well. It should now be listed alongside generic joystick and keyboard and mouse.
