Yeah I had this problem with a a patch somewhere during this year. All i remembered was there was and ED launcher, ED game files(Locted in My docs, if you go to the root folder its got weird named subfolders that contains the actual game). It wouldnt help removing every single trace of the game, launcher , game and registry data.
 
If you still have a problem downloading after cleaning all the folers let me know and i'll update the download script for the latest version and post it here.

It doesnt actually hook into the game. It sends key presses to the active application. So for example if you configure it to set throttle to 0 it will send a keypress of x to the game. The info about the universe is just pre recorded stuff that plays back on your request. you can have notepad open and ask it about supernovas and it will still give you the info. Hope that makes somewhat sense.

Having a blast in the game currently. So many things to do and i ended up trying to fuel scoop. Caused more damage to my poor eagle than the fuel is worth.

In that video he tells her to "Hand over for landing" - so presumably she is flying the ship at that point. How is that done if she doesn't have access to the in-game telemetry?

I ended up playing until 2AM this morning - it took me all of 7 hours to meet up with my co-op buddy.

Yeah I have been playing since last week friday, so many updates they have released since then till now. Mostly balancing stuff, some of us were getting crazy amounts for trading, so they nerfed some sectors. But its been great fun, Iv'e interdicted real players and harrassed them. All in all im pretty addicted.

There is a ship outfitting used on the extremely large ships to do auto pilot fly to land. I use on the Type-7 especially when you are trying to dock in those big hangers with small doors.

That's just for show. He was controlling the ship. The only thing she did was change the throttle and deploy the landing gear. Voice Attack does not read any info from the game memory or do code injection.

Edit: Or the auto dock thing ArchieChoke mentioned.

Ah, that's disappointing - trying to mislead like that will cause me to rebel against it.

It's a good game as we said before, so if you are okay with supporting a company that breaks promises, and you are aware that the game might go F2P in a while it's worth getting.

I was impressed that there were no emergency-patches last night and no server stability issues. The lag at the end of hyperspace broke immersion somewhat, but hopefully they'll improve that.

LOLs...I can understand why, but just wait till the media here's about the Slave's you can trade, its caused a bit of a stir when they patched in slaves.

It has been getting better with every patch, it was horrid in alpha and Beta, btw, we noticed if you run a group it reduces that issue.

On their official forums someone posted that Frontier support emailed him the correct data.ovx file and that fixed the problem. Would you be able to email that file to me please?
 
Sorry, excuse all the silly little questions.

What is this game like for the solo-er, the lone traveler? Or is it designed in such a way that at some point you will be forced into joining up with someone or a group of someones?
 
I cant think of there being a single reason to join someone other than pirating/grieving the other player. There isn't proper tools in the game to group/share rewards.

I didn't actually see one other player in the 7 hours that I played last night.
