Yeah, it would not be cheap. Back then it wasn't such a tough pill to swallow. And I was riding the hype train. Like I said though, I've never regretted it at all. I would advise everyone to just save up some money in a savings account till you have enough and then wait for the package to come on sale again. It would be less of a hassle then. Only problem would be waiting till then.

Yeah, Think I paid just over a thousand bucks on release back in 2014 (with rand pound conversion), and now again just under 1k for the Horizons beta. I don't regret it one bit.

But again, depends what you make of it and how you use it.

This is what the game is all about. It's sandbox. It's open, no hand holding nothing. You work out the harder parts on your own. You figure out how to handle players on your own. And then you go on your own adventure. You are not following some well known commander's story. Nah, rather you are the little known commander who sets out to make himself known.

This is exactly it, and why I love it. I role play. This is why I bought it on console as well, so I can have another account and play another role without affecting my current goals on PC and my current reputation/rank etc.

I have around 3.5million credits and these are the things going through my mind:

1. Wondering if I should continue grinding or saving for the Asp Explorer, then grind to get it specced?
3. Alternatively I could outright buy the Diamondback Explorer and outfit it?
5. Lastly, trade in my A-spec Viper for an Asp and spec it for exploring?

I'd say go with 2. It's a very fun ship. And on that trello page the one cmdr is using it. It's fantastic for exploring.

I wouldn't say it's Early Access. The game is quite complete with wha it has, Steam just classifies it as such given their roll out window. Other games that season passes and future expansions/releases don't get slated with the early access label, yet this does.

Frontier asked for it to be early access, it wasn't Steam who decided to make it early access.

If I remember correctly one of the next goals with sound in the game is to get actual voice lines in for NPCs and missions. There is a chance that I could be pulling this out of my arse.

So... I started a little plan last night and blew all my bucks, and traded in my Viper (as hard as that was). My Viper mkIII has seen many LY's of travel and got me through so many battles. Traded in for a Diamondback Explorer and specced it for exploring. Though it is a sexy little ship (remind me of a locust in design), that yellow is just urgh. Guess I'll have to shop some paint jobs... "whistling:

Upon my travels of looking for a 5A FSD for it, I happened to stumble across this little surprise. Now I knew there was a station created in memory of the late Leonard Nimoy, I just had no idea where it was and was quite a nice find to happen across. Quite a pretty little system and station too. Seems quite fitting for him.

that's a dumb name for his base. They should have called it Spock Dock

I'm currently getting around 18LY laden, but I just put on a 5C FSD for until I can find a 5A FSD, otherwise I'll settle for a 5B that I've found. Ideally with an A rating FSD I should get around 35LY jump range, to my calculations. The 5B is will be giving me around ~25LY's.

a 5B will take you about 26Ly so I'm guessing a 5A should do +-30Ly

Deadmonkey and I got gunned down by one of these ships, it had no shields, but had all hard points with Auto Cannons (I.e. the ship could murder everything)
